David Dooley Boone County Sheriff's Office |
(Florence, Ky.) - Almost four months after Michelle Mockbee was found murdered at her workplace in May, an arrest has been made.
David Dooley, 38, of Burlington, is charged with Murder and Tampering with Physical Evidence for the May 29 slaying of Mockbee, Boone County Sheriff's Office investigators announced Thursday.
Mockbee, 42, of Fort Mitchell, was found dead in the offices at Thermo Fischer Scientific on Empire Drive in Florence that morning. Other employees arriving for work that morning made the startling discovery.
Detectives said Dooley was working at the business as a janitor at the time.
Dooley, who was arrested Thursday afternoon, is being held in the Boone County Jail on $500,000 bond.
