(Greendale, Ind.) - A wild police chase on Saturday began in Greendale and spanned three states.

Dillsboro resident Stephen R. Witte, 30, was wanted on a warrant for Probation Violation in Dearborn County. When officers attempted to pull Witte over he sped off.

He led a chase on U.S. 50 east towards Ohio. Witte then drove onto Interstate 275 southbound.

Once in Kentucky, police used stop sticks which ended the chase near the Petersburg exit in Boone County. A short foot pursuit ensued and Witte was subdued using a taser.

Witte is still being held in the Boone County Jail awaiting extradition back to Indiana where he will likely face various charges.
