(Greendale, Ind.) – Greendale Police are looking for information on a man who pulled a quick change scam at a local convenience store.

“That’s where they (the suspect) present money to a teller or cashier and attempt to get more money back than what they are due,” said Sgt. Kevin Turner.

A white man wearing a black shirt pulled the scam on a clerk at the Ameristop in Greendale at about 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The man in this case gave a $20 bill for a small purchase; received a $10, $5, and $1 in return; then convinced the teller he was owed more.

Police are releasing surveillance photos of the suspect in hopes that somebody will be able to help identify him. IF you have information to help Greendale Police, call Sgt. Turner at (812) 537-1321.
