(Sunman, Ind.) – Three adults are arrested after the discovery of a meth lab in Sunman earlier this month.
Ripley County Sheriff Tom Grills said his office developed information that led to a search warrant being served at 627 Eastern Avenue in Sunman on September 6.
The people arrested in connection with the methamphetamine operation were Regina Beard, 37; Phillip Cornelius, 36; and Brandon Miller, 18, all of Sunman. They have each been charged with Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine.
A female juvenile was also taken into custody. It was unclear if she was an accomplice or an innocent child in the home. The girl has since been released to the Indiana Department of Child Services.
“This is a case where information obtained allowed law enforcement to develop enough to get a search warrant. All the agencies then came together to execute. Nobody was injured and that is key. When you are dealing with these types of chemicals used to manufacture meth, they are very dangerous and prone to explosion. I am glad none of us, including the arrested, were injured,” said Grills.
The case is still under investigation by the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office.
