(Burlington, Ky.) - A low-down thief is being sought by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

A man was caught on surveillance camera stealing money from Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Veteran’s Way in Burlington last Tuesday, September 18 at about 11:00 a.m.

Video showed the suspect breaking into a cabinet where cash candle donations are kept.

Police have released photos of the suspect in hopes that the public can help identify him. The man is described as white, in his early to mid 20s, with light brown hair, and tattoos on both forearms. He was wearing a blue tee shirt, khaki cargo shorts and white gym shoes.
