(Versailles, Ind.) – Ripley County residents who plan to register in person at the county courthouse in Versailles this week should pick a time other than Friday afternoon.
Ripley County Election Deputy Diane Macek says the courthouse, including the Clerk of Courts Office, will close at noon on Friday, September 28 due to the festivities of the Versailles Pumpkin Show on the courthouse square.
People heading to the office to register to vote or to apply for an absentee ballot will find the courthouse closed.
Macek said the courthouse will reopen Monday, October 1 at the usual time.
The final day to register to vote in Indiana is Tuesday, October 9. Absentee in-person early voting will begin the same day in the Election Room of the clerk’s office.
