(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Heavy downpours resulted in some serious flooding in some parts of the tri-state Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, upwards of three inches of precipitation has fallen in parts of southeast Indiana. A Flood Advisory will remain in effect until 8:00 p.m. as up to another one inch is expected Saturday evening.
The rain has caused many creeks and streams to swell. Several homes along Tanners Creek in Dearborn County were being threatened by rising water.
The Batesville PoliceDepartment reported a numberof street closings including Huntersville Road, Tekulve Road, East Pearl Street at State Road 46, and Lammers near Walhill Farm.
Motorists should use caution when travelling and not attempt to cross water-covered roadways.
