Two people who died in a crash on Interstate 74 in Dearborn County Wednesday evening have been identified.
Jeff Burton, 44, of Osgood, was the passenger in a pickup truck that blew a tire and crossed the median. Brian Hare, 47, of Cincinnati, was the driver of another vehicle that was struck.
Both Burton and Hare died at the scene.
Two other people injured in the accident remain in the hospital.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - Two people died and two more were seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 74 in Dearborn County Wednesday evening.
The accident happened at about 5:45 p.m. near the 158 mile marker, not far from the Dearborn-Ripley County line. Dearborn County deputies said Frank Cox, 36, of Osgood was driving a Ford truck westbound when it blew a tire and crossed the median into the eastbound lanes of traffic, striking two other vehicles.
The two crash victims who died were a 44-year-old passenger in Cox’s truck and a 47-year-old driver of another vehicle. Their names have not been released.
Another passenger, Mackeba Davenport, 44, of Cincinnati, was flown by aircare to University Hospital.
Cox was taken by ambulance to Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville.
Their current conditions are not known.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department.
