(Versailles, Ind.) – Indiana State Police troopers from the Versailles Post made 18 DUI arrests as part of a statewide drunk driving blitz last weekend.
The statewide enforcement campaign targeting impaired and dangerous drivers was conducted Friday and Saturday night, September 14 and 15, between 7:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.
Troopers throughout the state arrested 346 impaired drivers, issued 4,105 traffic tickets, 6,646 written warnings and made 360 arrests for various criminal offenses.
In the Versailles District, troopers made 18 DUI arrests, arrested 78 individuals for various other criminal charges, wrote 165 citations, and issued 534 warnings.
The Versailles District includes Bartholomew, Dearborn, Decatur, Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley, and Switzerland counties.
