(Rising Sun, Ind.) – Two burglaries have occurred in less than one week at Rising Sun American Legion Post 59.

Rising Sun Chief of Police David Hewitt says thieves forced their way into the locked building after hours and stole an undetermined amount of cash. One of the break-ins occurred last Thursday, September 13, with the most recent happening Monday.

Police are asking the public for information concerning the recent burglaries. Anyone who can help is urged to call the Rising Sun Police Department at (812) 438-3737.
