(Aurora, Ind.) - Two Aurora residents are accused of breaking into a barber shop, then using stolen money to buy drugs.
Bradley Creech, 19, and Tanner Kincade, 21, are each charged with Burglary, Theft, and Attempted Theft.
In a court affidavit, Aurora Police say the two used a baseball bat to bust out a window at Ted’s Barber Shop on George Street on Friday, September 7. They took a cash register containing cash. The register was later recovered by divers at the bottom of nearby Hogan Creek.
Police caught Creech and Kincade when one of their mothers alerted police that they may be responsible.
The men told investigators they used the stolen money to attempt to buy heroin in Cincinnati.
Creech and Kincade remain in jail at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center as of Friday. They are each ordered held on a $1,500 cash and $75,000 surety bond.
