(Aurora, Ind.) – Aurora Police are seeking information on the recent burglary of a popular ice cream shop.
The Flavors Ice Cream & Deli at 114 U.S. 50/Green Boulevard was broken into sometime between Sunday night, August 19 and Monday morning, August 20, said Sgt. Josh Daugherty. The burglary was discovered by an employee arriving for work Monday.
It’s the latest in a rash of business and home burglaries in the area in the past few months.
During the break-in, a 300 pound safe containing money was taken. The safe is described as having a black exterior with a gray door equipped with a keypad.
Daugherty said police are not certain if the burglary included more than one suspect, or if it is related to other recent break-ins.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Aurora Police Department, (812) 926-1101. Callers can remain anonymous.
