Press release from Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg
(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg joins Penn National Gaming casinos across the United States, the American Gaming Association (AHA), the National Center for Responsible Gaming and the Indiana Council on Problem Gaming for the 15th annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW), July 30 through August 5.
The goal is to educate Hollywood employees (cast members) and its guests about its Code of Conduct for Responsible Gaming, a set of policies and guidelines that are modeled after a similar code developed by the AGA covering topics such as problem gambling, underage gambling, improper use of alcohol, responsible marketing and advertising, and unattended minors.
“We emphasize the importance of responsible gaming not just during responsible gaming week, but every day,” said Joe Hasson, general manager at Hollywood. “This special week of awareness provides our cast members with the added skills to communicate and guide others to live and work by this Code.”
Hollywood RGEW committee members will encourage Hollywood cast member participation in spreading awareness to casino guests and to the public. RGEW educational materials, quizzes and games will be available to help educate cast members further about Hollywood’s policies and available resources.
For the public, in addition to brochures and wristbands distributed throughout the week, the casino will offer a Spotlight Challenge table on the third floor pavilion Thursday evening from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. The Challenge will allow guests to answer a responsible gaming question to win a small prize and be entered into a drawing to win a Hotel & Final Cut package, Boogie Nights booth, or four Epic Buffet passes. The drawing will be held on Monday, Aug. 6.
