(Aurora, Ind.) – Sentencing comes Monday for a teen accused of robbing an Aurora grocery store with his father.
Malachi Draper, 19, has reached a new plea agreement with prosecutors. An earlier agreement was nixed by the state when new evidence surfaced showing Draper may have masterminded the armed robbery of Tandy’s IGA on Third Street last January.
His father, Ronald Draper, Jr., assisted in the holdup as the store was closing. They has ordered employees to the floor and took money from an office before fleeing.
The elder Draper, 43, was sentenced to 20 years prison and probation earlier this month.
Malachi Draper’s sentencing is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday in Dearborn Superior Court I. Eagle 99.3 will have the sentencing hearing covered.
