A woman pulled from the Ohio River near Petersburg Thursday morning had attempted a suicide, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office.
Boone County Water Rescue and the U.S. Coast Guard responded to the report of a person in the water at about 2:30 a.m.
No further information is being released.

(Petersburg, Ky.) - A woman was saved by Boone County Water Rescue crews on the Ohio River near Petersburg this morning.
Employees at a nearby power plant said they saw several emergency boats on the river between Petersburg and Lawrenceburg at about 10:00 a.m.
WKRC-TV reports a woman was pulled from the water and taken by aircare to an area hospital. She had reportedly gone missing overnight. The victim's name and condition have not been released.
