Lawrenceburg Police are continuing to search for the suspect in an armed robbery early Monday morning.
Detectives say a person armed with a handgun entered the Arch Street BP at about 4:45. The robber demanded money, then shot the store clerk in the leg.
The robber fled the scene in a car with at least one other occupant.
The clerk, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Dearborn County Hospital.
Police had stopped a vehicle on U.S. 50 near Stateline Road at about 7:00 in their search for the suspects, but determined the vehicle was not involved.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A robbery in Lawrenceburg early Monday morning ended with the store clerk being shot.
Dispatchers say the Arch Street BP gas station was reported held up at about 4:48 a.m.
The clerk was shot in the leg at some point during the holdup and was taken to Dearborn County Hospital. The victim's name and current medical condition have not been released.
No suspect is in custody, dispatchers said.
Lawrenceburg Police are still on scene investigating with the gas station closed down.
