Heroin(West Harrison, Ind.) – An investigation that lasted several weeks culminated Thursday with the arrest of a West Harrison man for dealing heroin.

The Dearborn County Prosecutor’s Office says Dearborn County Special Crimes Unit detectives and county sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at William W. Scudder’s home at 213 Bond Road.

Once inside, officers found over three grams of heroin, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and several guns. One of the firearms was stolen, detectives said.

Two children were also in the residence. The Indiana Department of Child Services was contacted to handle their well-being.

Scudder, 31, was arrested on charges of Dealing in Cocaine or a Narcotic Drug (Class A felony), Possession of Cocaine or a Narcotic Drug (Class C felony), Neglect of a Dependant (Class D felony), and Receiving Stolen Property (Class D felony). He is being held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center pending his initial appearance in court.
