The Indiana Fallen Officers blood drive will begin today in Ripley and
Franklin counties.  The blood drive was started by Janice Starnes in
memory of her husband Dan Starnes who was a Sergeant with the Morgan
County Sheriff?s Department.  Dan lost his life due to gunshot wounds he
received in a line of duty gun battle with a burglary suspect in 2001.
The statewide blood drive is held in his memory.  You can donate today
from 1 to 7pm at the State Police Post in Versailles and the Franklin
County EMS Building.
