The start date for the trial of 38 year old William Gaj-dik  will now be
August 6th.  It was to begin Monday but a motion filed by his attorney for
a continuance was granted by Judge Humphrey.  Gaj-dik is being held at the
Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center on charges of attempted murder,
burglary, robbery causing serious bodily injury, robbery with a deadly
weapon and auto theft.  Gaj-dik was an escaped convict from Nebraska who
allegedly terrorized residents in northern Dearborn County last September.
