Tom Cheek (left) and Randy Frye are running against one another for District 67 State Representative.

(Greensburg, Ind.) - An Indiana state representative candidate who voted for right to work is gaining the endorsement of another union.

District 67 Rep. Randy Frye was endorsed last week by Local 416 of the International Association of Firefighters.  The Greensburg Republican is a retired firefighter.

"I am proud to count you as one of Local 416 IAFF members currently serving in public office.  I would like to thank you for your service and hard work to ensure that fire fighter issues are heard in your elected capacity.  I am please that you have decided to continue to pursue public office this election year.  The IAFF is proud to support your efforts."  Harold A. Schaitberger, the IAFF’s general president.

Frye said he was honored to have the endorsement.

He had previously gained the endorsement of the Professional Firefighters’ Union of Indiana last month.

Frye is facing Aurora Democrat Tom Cheek on the ballot for District 67 Representative in November.
