(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A Hollywood Casino and Hotel employee has been given an award recognizing her outstanding service.

Brenda Johnston received a 2012 Hoosier Hospitality Award from Indiana Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman at the Indiana Statehouse on Wednesday.

The award is bestowed on 25 individuals working in Indiana’s tourism industry each year.

"These award recipients are just a few of the many people who make positive contributions to Indiana's tourism industry every day," said Skillman. "It's important to thank them for their hard word in making guests feel welcome during their stay in Indiana."

State Rep. Randy Frye (R-Greensburg) was also in attendance for the award presentation.
