(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Charges could be announced Friday morning in connection with the murder of Aurora resident Leigh Jennings.
The 67-year-old was found murdered in her apartment on Aspen Ridge Road the night of April 5.
Dearborn County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard and Indiana State Police are slated to make an announcement at an 11:00 a.m. press conference at the Dearborn County Courthouse Annex in Lawrenceburg.
Police have not made any arrests in Jennings’ murder as of early Friday morning. Charles “Steve” Stephenson, of Florence, has been named a person of interest. He was a friend of Jennings.
Stephenson has been hospitalized since he attempted suicide on Monday, just a short time before he was to be questioned by Indiana State Police.
