Indiana State Fair stage collapse.
(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Attorney General Greg Zoeller says 90 tort claims have been filed with the state for damages from the Indiana State Fair stage tragedy.
The deadline was Tuesday to have those in the mail or in the hands of the AG's office, and the number is expected to rise.
Payments from the $5 million fund are capped at $700,000 for the families of each of the seven people killed in the collapse.
It's not yet been determined when or how those payments will be made or how they will be calculated.
The seven victims were among 40 others injured when the stage rigging collapsed into the crowd just before a Sugarland concert at the state fairgrounds grandstands August 13.
