(Hanover, Ind.) – One student was arrested and a visitor to the Hanover College campus taken to the hospital after an incident on Saturday night.
According to college administrators, Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and Hanover Police, there was an altercation between two people at Wiley Hall in which a knife was involved, radio station 95.3 WIKI in nearby Madison reported Monday.
The injured person, Vincent Johnson, 23, of Jamestown, is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries at a Louisville hospital.
The alleged subject, Demetrius “Dee” Jones, 20, from Columbus, is in police custody and has been placed under an interim suspension and no trespass order.
Jones was located in a fraternity after fleeing Wiley Hall and then taken into custody.
Jones is facing preliminary charges of Aggravated Battery and Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon.
There was also another incident at the Phi Delta Fraternity that five others in a non-related incident were also injured in a fight and taken to the hospital.
One arrest was made, Tirell Inglemon, 19 of Logansport, was charged with two counts of felony Battery and three counts of misdemeanor Battery.
Police say there was also several other arrests for public intoxication.
