(Greendale, Ind.) – A group of mothers to local soldiers will scare because they care this weekend in Greendale.
The Southeastern Indiana Blue Star Mothers will host Boofest for Brett on Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to midnight at the Greendale Cabin. Proceeds from the event will benefit hometown soldier Army Pfc. Brett Bondurant, who was seriously injured in a September 28 improvised explosive device blast in Afghanistan.
Support group Brett’s Warriors is also assisting with the event.
Boofest will feature music by CNC Productions, raffles, a silent auction, split-the-pot, food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Cost to attend the event is $10 per person 21 and over, $7 for people 20 and younger, and 10 and under get in free.
Anyone who cannot attend the event but still wishes to help Bondurant and his family with monetary donations can donate to the Pfc. Brett Bondurant Fund at any United Community Bank branch.

Bondurant, 20, lost both legs in the attack on his unit. The 2009 Lawrenceburg High School graduate continues to recover and rehabilitate at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. His mother, Janelle Bondurant Krabbe, said he faces several months of rehabilitation before he can return home to Greendale.
