(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Sugarland is returning to Indianapolis to honor the victims and survivors of this summer’s Indiana State Fair tragedy.
The duo is slated to play a free concert tonight at the Conseco Fieldhouse. The show is serving as both a tribute and a make-good for Sugarland's missed concert over the summer.
Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush were scheduled to appear at the Indiana State Fair on August 13, but moments before they stepped up to perform a strong wind gust toppled the stage.
A total of seven people were killed in the accident. Four people lost their lives at the scene, while three others later died of injuries suffered in the collapse. More than 40 other people also were hurt.
Tickets from Sugarland's state fair show will be honored, while additional tickets have been made available.
The concert will also feature sets from Rita Wilson, wife of actor Tom Hanks who's launching a music career, and singer-songwriter Corey Cox, who's from nearby Pendleton, Indiana.
Proceeds from the show will be donated to the Indiana State Fair Remembrance Fund.
