(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Sentencing comes today for a blogger convicted of threatening a Dearborn County judge and others.

Dan Brewington was convicted October 6 by a jury on five charges including Intimidation of a Judge, two counts of Intimidation, Attempt to Commit Obstruction of Justice, and Perjury.

Prosecutors argued Brewington’s blog postings about Judge James Humphrey, Humphrey’s wife Heidi, and a custody evaluator involved in Brewington’s 2007 divorce and child custody case were not protected free speech.

Special Judge Brian Hill, of Rush County, will announce a sentence at 1:30 p.m.
