(Hebron, Ky.) - A Hebron business is looking to expand with more space and more jobs.
Global Mail is a DHL subsidiary which wants to lease 80,000 square feet of new warehouse space at a facility on Global Way, about double what they currently use according to the Kentucky Enquirer.
The expansion would add about 40 new jobs, Boone County Administrator Jeff Earlywine told the newspaper.
Boone County and state government are working on a tax incentive package for Global Mail to make the expansion more feasible.
County commissioners have heard the first reading of an ordinance which would allow the company a 0.4 percent credit for the county’s occupational license fee. State officials may allow a 1.5 percent income tax credit for the new jobs which would be created.
