(Greendale, Ind.) - A Friday afternoon accident brought an early start to the afternoon traffic backups on U.S. 50.
Greendale Police say two men were injured in the crash that occurred on the highway near Urban Way, near the Greendale McDonald’s restaurant at about 12:02.
Lawrence Ritter, of Dry Ridge, Ky., was driving a 2009 black Cadillac passenger car when he pulled out from Urban Way onto U.S. 50, colliding with a 2006 green Ford 500 driven by James Mills, of Aurora.
Both Ritter and Mills were taken to Dearborn County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is being investigated by the Greendale Police Department.
Greendale Fire Department, Greendale Life Squad, and Lawrenceburg Life Squad assisted at the scene.
