Brent Spence Bridge
(Cincinnati, Oh.) - Heading through downtown Cincinnati using the Interstate 71/75 Brent Spence Bridge could take longer than usual Thursday.
President Barack Obama is using the 1963 bridge as an example of an infrastructure project that would benefit from his proposed American Jobs Act. The president’s speech will occur at about 2:30 p.m.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the right northbound lane of the Brent Spence Bridge will be closed, as well as the left southbound lane.
Anybody who is driving through downtown is advised to take Interstate 275 around the city instead to avoid long delays
Air Force One will land at the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport at about 2:00. Portions of I-275 may also be closed briefly when the president’s motorcade drives on the loop towards downtown.
