(Whitewater Township, Oh.) - A man has come forward in connection with a deadly hit-skip accident in Whitewater Township.
Arnold Turner, 54, was walking along Ohio Route 128 during the pre-dawn hours Wednesday when he was hit by a vehicle. Turner was thrown into a ditch by the impact. His body was found later that morning by employees with the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Pieces of the vehicle that struck Turner were found at the scene. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit released a possible description of the vehicle – a black late 1990s or newer Dodge Ram pickup truck.
On Thursday, 40-year-old Edward Krimmer, of Cleves, went to the Cleves Police Department when he heard police were looking for a pickup truck like his.
Krimmer has been charged with leaving the scene of a deadly accident and tampering with evidence, both felonies. Investigators say more charges could follow.
The pickup truck believed to be involved with the crash has been secured by sheriff’s investigators.
