Police are continuing to search northern Dearborn County and points beyond for a shooting suspect.
A homeowner arrived home on Ruth Avenue in Logan Township about 4:00 p.m. Tuesday. Inside the home the victim found a man, who then fired a gun on the victim, hitting him in the back.
The unidentified victim was taken by medical helicopter to University Hospital in Cincinnati.
The shooter stole the victim's black Ford Thunderbird from the home. It has a license plate number of 717-AUY.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5'7" tall, heavy build, with red hair and wearing glasses. It is believed to be the same person responsible for a home invasion at a home on the 2300 block of North Dearborn Road at about 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Harrison Police and Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies in Ohio have also been on alert.

(Bright, Ind.) - Dearborn County Sheriff's deputies are responding to a reported shooting in the Logan Township area.
At about 4:00 p.m., a shooting was reported in a home on Ruth Avenue. The homeowner was shot in the back. Aircare has been called to take the victim to the hospital.
The scene of the shooting is in the area where a home on the 2300 block of North Dearborn Road was burglarized earlier Tuesday morning. In that instance, a homeowner arrived home to find an armed burglar inside. Police have been searching a two-mile radius for the suspect for the past several hours.
Dispatchers said the suspect fled northbound on Mount Pleasant Road towards North Dearborn Road, possibly driving a black Ford Thunderbird.
Various police agencies are responding to the scene and surrounding area to catch the suspect.
