(Bloomington, Ind.) - The search for missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer has started again as classes at IU begin today.
Her family organized the first volunteer search in several weeks yesterday in Bloomington, fanning out around the area to look for clues.
The 20-year-old Spierer vanished early on June 3rd and has not been heard from since.
Her father Robert hopes the return of students helps someone who may know something to have the courage to speak up.
"We believe very strongly that somebody knows where she is. She didn't just fall through a hole in the ground and disappear," he told reporters during the weekend searches.
"The people who were with her left Bloomington shortly after her disappearance and have not provided any information subsequent to their departure," Spierer said.
Information on the search to find Spierer can be found on the website www.findlauren.com.
