(Bloomington, Ind.) – Though new leads have been slow to develop and searches ended weeks ago, the parents of a missing Indiana University student are not giving up hope.
Lauren Spierer was last seen or heard from in the early morning hours of June 3 walking to her apartment in Bloomington. She had been out partying with friends.
The 20-year-old Greenburg, New York native’s parents, Rob and Charlene Spierer, have released a new poster showing a photo of their daughter and asking for more information.
The poster can be found on the website dedicated to finding Spierer, www.findlauren.com.
The parents call the silence in the case deafening, adding it's compounding their frustration, desperation and grief as they continue to look for Lauren.
"There is no explanation for why this has happened. Imagine learning one of the most important people in your world has disappeared and there is not enough information available from friends and acquaintances to find them," the Spierers said on the website, adding that they remain in Bloomington as police continue to investigate the disappearance.
