(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Some people have no shame.
Case in point, a Lawrenceburg man is in jail accused of stealing a donation jar.
Jeff Inabnit went into the Dunkin Donuts on U.S. 50 in Lawrenceburg on Thursday, August 4 according to a court affidavit. Employees witnessed him sneak out of the restaurant with a donation jar that was placed next to the cash register.
The jar contained money meant to go to the Dearborn County People for Animal Welfare Society, or PAWS.
Lawrenceburg Police were called, but Inabnit was not immediately apprehended.
He returned to the Dunkin Donuts three days later on Sunday, August 7. The employees immediately recognized him and called police.
Officers confronted Inabnit, who admitted to taking the donation jar.
Inabnit is charged with Theft. He has posted bond to be released from the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center.
