(East Enterprise, Ind.) – A vehicle crash was to blame for cutting electricity to a number of homes in Switzerland County Wednesday night.
Dispatchers say a vehicle was travelling on State Road 56 near Stowtown Road in East Enterprise when it went off the road and struck a utility pole about 10:03 p.m.
Nobody was injured in the accident, but the damage to the pole caused many homes in the area to lose power.
Southeast Indiana REMC crews were called to make repairs to the pole.
The crash remains under investigation by the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office.
