Two people were hospitalized after a pickup truck crashed on Interstate 74 Thursday morning, according to Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Deputy David Funch.
A pickup truck carrying a quad was travelling westbound on the interstate when for unknown reasons it overturned beneath the State Road 1 overpass at about 5:00.
Two passengers in the vehicle were taken to the hospital by Sunman Rescue 20 ambulance. A juvenile suffered a head injury and a female had suffered a laceration to her head. The driver of the truck refused treatment at the scene.
Funch said the victims were traveling from North Carolina to Shelbyville, Indiana at the time of the crash.
Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors in the accident.

(St. Leon, Ind.) - Police are on scene for a nasty accident on Interstate 74 Thursday morning.
A pickup truck hauling motorcycles was driving westbound on the interstate about 5:00 a.m. when the truck overturned.
The pickup came to a rest on the westbound side of the highway near the State Road 1 underpass.
Three people were reported injured. There is no word on their names or conditions.
Motorists tell us that traffic on I-74 in both directions is moving.
