(Bloomington, Ind.) - The Federal Bureau of Investigation will search a landfill in Vigo County, Indiana where trash from Bloomington is dumped.
It's believed the search is related to the disappearance two months ago Wednesday of Indiana University student Lauren Spierer.
A search warrant has been issued, two weeks after the FBI first contacted owners of the Sycamore Ridge Landfill, near Terre Haute and about 55 miles away from Bloomington.
The 20-year-old vanished early on June 3rd walking home barefoot and alone after a night out with friends. She has not been seen since.
Bloomington Police have said they do suspect foul play in Spierer’s disappearance. No suspects have been named.
