Press release from Dearborn County Convention Visitors Tourism Bureau
Festival-goers from across the region will head for Southeast Indiana this weekend, where the Bright Community Festival has been planned for July 29 and 30. A fundraiser for the Bright Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, the event will feature a variety of activities for the entire family, including live music, kids’ rides and games, a beer garden, informational booths, gaming and more.
In addition to a carnival-like atmosphere, visitors to the festival can enjoy pulled pork dinners by Hog Wild Smokers on Friday night and a parade on Saturday afternoon, followed by chicken dinners on Saturday night. The free event is also well known for its legendary raffles, including a fabulous trip for two to Hawaii and a jumbo split-the-pot giveaway. Live entertainment will likewise take place throughout the two nights of the festival.
The Bright Community Festival will be held on Fri., July 29 from 6pm-11pm and Sat., July 30 from 4pm-11pm at Bright Firehouse #1, located off of Salt Fork Road in Bright. The parade is scheduled for 3pm on Saturday.
