(Moores Hill, Ind.) – A former town clerk-treasurer will not see any jailtime as part of her sentence.
Renee Hall was the Moores Hill Clerk-Treasurer until she was charged with Official Misconduct, Conversion, and Failure to Deposit Public Funds last year.
She was accused of taking money from the town between January 2007 and December 2009.
Hall reached a plea agreement with prosecutors last month. On Thursday, Dearborn Superior Court II Judge Sally Blankenship accepted the plea which convicts Hall on the misconduct charge with the other two charges are dismissed.
The deal puts Hall, 54, on probation for three years. She must also pay $165 in court costs.
She has already paid restitution to the town for the money that was taken.
Hall did not say much during the hearing. Only “Yes ma’am” or “Yes your honor” when questioned by Blankenship during the 10 minute hearing.
