(Batesville, Ind.) - A drug overdose may be to blame for taking the life of a Batesville teenager on her 18th birthday.
Cierra Adams was found dead at a friend’s home on Curtis Court in Batesville Saturday afternoon.
Family members tell WLWT-TV that Adams had travelled to Cincinnati earlier to purchase heroin.
Batesville Police said Monday that results of an autopsy and toxicology tests could take weeks to tell for sure what caused Adams’ death.
The would-be Batesville High School senior’s visitation takes place this evening. It will be at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral is Thursday morning at 11:00 at Little Memory Church in Batesville.
