(West Harrison, Ind.) - Nobody was seriously hurt in a crash involving four vehicles on the exit ramp of Interstate 74 in West Harrison.
Indiana State Police troopers say a car driven by Douglas Fish, 25, of Sunman, was westbound on U.S. 52 at the westbound ramp to I-74 when he made a left turn into the path of an oncoming pickup truck about 2:30 p.m.
The pickup driver, John W. Hatmaker, 24, of Norwood, Ohio, avoided a collision with Fish’s car be swerving towards the right into traffic on the exit ramp. Hatmaker’s truck struck two other cars getting off the interstate.
The drivers of those two cars were taken to the Harrison PAC Center with non-life threatening injuries. They were Daniel Haussler, 24, of Cleves, Ohio and Kendall Lake, 49, of Cedar Grove.
Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
Indiana State Police were assisted at the scene by the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department.

(West Harrison, Ind.) – Emergency responders are on the scene of a head-on crash on Interstate 74 in Dearborn County.
Dispatchers say the accident occurred on the exit ramp from westbound I-74 at Exit 169 in West Harrison about 2:40 p.m. A vehicle may have entered the exit ramp going the wrong way when it collided with another vehicle.
It is unclear if there were any injuries.
Indiana State Police are investigating the accident.
