(Greensburg, Ind.) – Honda Manufacturing of Indiana in Greensburg will begin adding hundreds of new employees in October.
The automaker announced in May that it would add a second production shift in the Tree City, creating the need for 1,000 new employees.
Those new employees will begin going to work producing the manufacturer’s Civic models October 24.
“After nearly three years in mass production, we are thrilled to be starting a second shift,” said HMIN President Jun Nishimoto. “We are looking forward to expanding our current team with new members joining us to produce the award-winning Civic.”
Honda is accepting applications for the production jobs online at Indiana.Honda.com. The opportunities include stamping, welding, painting, plastic molding, and assembly.
People without Internet access can receive assistance in applying at their local Indiana WorkOne office.
The Greensburg facility has been employing about 900 people since it opened in 2008.
