(Batesville, Ind.) – Batesville Police Department investigators have identified the teenager found dead Saturday.
Cierra Adams, 18, of Batesville, was pronounced dead at the scene after police and EMS responded to a home at 370 Curtis Court about 2:22 p.m.
Detective Mike Benjamin says there were no obvious signs of trauma.
A death investigation is currently underway. Detectives spent several hours Saturday interviewing individuals who had contact with Adams leading up to her death. The residence was also searched for evidence.
An autopsy was performed Sunday on Adams, as well as a toxicology test. Those results could take four to six weeks to be received, said Benjamin.
The Batesville Herald Tribune has reported that Adams was a Batesville High School student.
