Boyd D. Wright, Jr.
(Madison, Ind.) - We’re finding out more about an 80-year-old who shot an Aurora man to death in Madison.
The shooting happened Tuesday night in Boyd D. Wright Jr.’s home when he shot Harry “Ken” Harris of Aurora, in the back. Harris would later be pronounced dead at Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison.
Harris, 57, was the operator of Harris Flooring in Aurora. Friends called the handyman "Ken Kan."
Wright told Madison Police he shot Harris because he did approve of the relationship Harris had with his daughter, Kim Wright, according to the Madison Courier.
An autopsy performed at Dearborn County Hospital on Wednesday shows Harris died because of the gunshot.
Investigators said during Wright’s first court appearance Wednesday afternoon that his wife, Martha Wright, was preparing dinner in the kitchen when she heard the gunshot. She turned around to see Harris face-down on the floor.

Police arrived within minutes of the 911 call to find Wright bloody from self-inflicted knife wounds on his wrist. He was taken to Kings Daughters Hospital before being jailed.
Wright remains held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond while prosecutors sort out charges. Another initial appearance is scheduled for Monday morning in Jefferson County Circuit Court.
Harris’ funeral arrangements will be announced later, but are being handled by Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home in Moores Hill. Donations can be made to the Ken Harris Memorial Fund through and U.S. Bank branch.
