(Aurora, Ind.) – Police have charged a trio of juveniles who broke into a store and a school through air vents with a third break-in.
The three juveniles were caught and questioned by Aurora Police following an incident Tuesday in which one of them had crawled into air ductwork from the roof of the Aurora Big Lots. The teen fell through the ductwork, through the roof, and to the ground below before all three fled the scene.
Lawrenceburg Police also believe the group used ductwork to gain access to Central Elementary School earlier the same morning.
On Thursday, Aurora Police said the teens have been tied to a third burglary at Aurora Elementary School on Washington Street.
The investigation into the break-ins is ongoing. Aurora Chief of Police Bryan Fields said it should conclude by weeks end.
Two of the teens were caught within minutes of the Big Lots episode. The third initially evaded police, but has since been identified, questioned, and released to his parents, said Fields.
