Weisburg Road, Manchester, Ind.
Only minor injuries were suffered by a motorcyclist when he wrecked his bike on Weisburg Road in the Manchester area Thursday morning.
Walter C. Smith, Jr., of Manchester, was riding his 1985 Honda Goldwing motorcycle when it began to shake near Esther Ridge Road about 7:35 a.m. Smith laid the bike down on the ground to avoid a more serious accident, said Deputy David Funch, public information officer for the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Smith, 47, suffered minor injuries to his head and back. He was transported to Dearborn County Hospital.
Deputy Jacob Bunner worked the accident scene. He was assisted by Manchester Fire and EMS.

(Manchester, Ind.) – Emergency crews are on scene of a crash involving a motorcycle in western Dearborn County.
The accident occurred about 7:35 a.m. Thursday on Weisburg Road, near the intersection with State Road 48 in the Manchester area.
A person riding a motorcycle was injured. It is unclear if any other vehicles were involved.
The person’s name and condition are not known.
