(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Parents who want to begin sending their children to a private school using the state’s new voucher program can now fill out the paperwork.
The school voucher program opened for applicants Monday.
The program allows low-income families to apply for vouchers to send their children to other schools that best suit their needs. More than 80 schools, mostly private Catholic schools, have been approved by the state to participate in the program.
New websites have been launched by the Indiana Department of Education and School Choice Indiana spelling out the eligibility requirements for the initiative.
The list of schools taking part will be updated regularly on the DOE's website and at www.MyChoiceINed.com.
