Indiana State Police have identified the pilot who was killed in a helicopter crash Saturday in Ohio County.
Joseph Ohnheiser, 57, of Sadieville, Ky., died when his chopper went down sometime between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. in an area near State Raod 56 and State Road 156.
The wreckage was not discovered until about 4:30 p.m. by a Rising Sun firefighter said Sgt. Noel Houze. The Airforce assisted in the search.
Ohnheiser had taken off from an airport in Georgetown, Ky. He was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
The crash is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Emergency crews are on the scene of a deadly helicopter crash near Rising Sun Saturday afternoon.
Dispatchers say the chopper went down around 4:30 p.m. in the area of State Road 156 and State Road 56, near Miller Brick.
Indiana State Police at the Versailles Post say at least one person died in the crash. It is unclear if anybody else was hurt.
Many helicopters were flying in the area Saturday. Jet flights carrying spectators to the Kentucky Speedway landed at Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport and helicopters then shuttled them to the track in Sparta. It is not certain if the crashed chopper was among those.
