(Versailles, Ind.) – Having inappropriate relations with two underage girls has landed a Ripley County man 20 years behind bars.
Tobie Wilson, 36, of Osgood, will receive a sentence of 27 years with seven suspended after reaching the plea agreement last week with prosecutors in Ripley Circuit Court, the Versailles Republican reports. He faced the possibility of up to 40 years.
The charges came last year after one of the 16-year-old victims was hospitalized in April 2010 and told doctors what had happened. That’s when Indiana State Police began their investigation.
Upon his release from prison, Wilson will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
